how are we feeling about 2021, so far?
For me, it came too fast and too slow. I worked Thursday, and almost everyone I talked had something special planned. Me? I had no plans to stay up because I had work the next morning (the value of adequate sleep on a work night is something I am learning to pay attention to). Friday was a blur. Saturday came - the first morning I'd been home in 3 days, so we celebrated with homemade lattes. It was the first time I had time to think, "wow, a new year. . .what in the world??"
I have been reading everyone's wrap-up posts and just absorbing what a monumental year it's been. Honestly, I didn't think I'd get to writing my own. And really. . .does anyone want talk of 2020 after 2020 is over? I don't think anyone does. But acknowlegement is important, remembering is important. So I start. . .
One of my first posts of 2020 ends with this: 2020 is going to bring a lot of changes. They will be good changes. I will do things. I will get a little (hopefully a lot) further in life. I also know that time passes both slowly and rapidly and the best I can do is to make the most of every moment.
2020 was a lot of change. Personal change. Career change. Family change. Things happened that had never happened before. . .and I didn't love it. I'm not sure I have words yet. It's been a lot and I am tired.
Here is a brief recap of the year.
