18:58I share things that inspired me and that
I'm reading, learning, watching, and listening.
. . .
= Out of Body / Need to Breathe
= Island Song / cast recording
= Shane & Shane
= Charlie Wilson's War & A Hidden Life / James Newton Howard
= Folklore / Taylor Swift
= The Mad Ones / cast recording
I have been spending a lot of time refining my Spotify. For the longest time, it was pretty much only soundtracks and worship music (I call that my "writer's phase"). While I still adore soundtracks, I have started to encorporate other genres into my music style. A friend of mine told me about her "i don't know yet" playlist - music you've seen online, new releases, and songs others have recomended. You listen through it and weed out whatever you don't like. I thought it was a wonderful way to organize music. At the moment, I am working on a dinner music and a love song playlist, so if you have recs that apply, please drop them in the comments!!!

Gilmore Girls. Yeah. . .I know I'm wayyy late to the party. But ya'll just have to realize that I will forever be that person who's says, "oh my I found this great _____!" And you're response will be "yeah okay that was so five years ago."
I watched the whole thing in a matter of months, and loved it. It's quirky and funny, heartwarming and nostaglic. A bit slower paced than most shows, but it still has plenty of subtext and character dynamics to keep me engaged. I won't say much more because there's a slim, slim chance you have not already seen/loved it. If you have, though, tell me in the comments your favorite character + relationship + episode + other stuff.
like I do with most things. . .
The last thing I want to do is dive back into "talk" when I saw on twitter "happy six month anniversary to '14 days to flatten the curve.' " <<< to which I rolled my eyes because #sotrue.
This week, I felt my creativity spiking (and goh it's ABOUT TIME). It's a sign that I haven't disappeared altogether. Because...*cough cough*. My brain has overworked itself into the pit lately, and it badly needs to think of something else besides work and how to get enough sleep. #essentialworkerlife has kicked my butttt.
What am I going to do with this creativity? Not sure. There is a writing project I must do but haven't cause my brain can't handle it yet. I have a running list of things I need/want to start, so there definently is no shortage of options. But maybe I'll just put a lot of energy into buying clothes because THRIFT STORES ARE OPEN AGAIN YAY.
If the tone feels scrappy, it's because I wrote this listening to an Instagram live from one of my favs. So half of me is writing and the other half is trying to figure out, "how can I be as cool at her?"
cheers!
